Peter Stammer is a member of the Dallas Winds, and active freelance musician in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He performs regularly with Dallas Symphony Orchestra, where he has worked with conductors Fabio Luisi, Jaap van Zweden, and many others. He has also played with the Fort Worth Symphony, Chautauqua Symphony, Las Colinas Symphony, the Detroit Symphony, and “Wierd” Al Yankovic. He holds degrees from Southern Methodist University (MM, PD) and the University of Michigan(BM), where he studied with Ryan Anthony, Tom Booth, and William Campbell. He is an active member of the American Federation of Musicians, and the Texas Music Educators Association.
