Rui Yang

From the great country of China 🇨🇳 Rui Yang is currently the Associate Principal Trumpet of Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra,one of the best orchestras in China.He is also the Principal Trumpet of the German Thüringen-Gera-Altenburg Opera House. He holds a master’s degree from the Liszt School of Music in Weimar, Germany.In 2010, he was admitted to the affiliated high school of the Central Conservatory of Music in China, where he studied under the guidance of the renowned trumpet player and educator Professor Chen Guang. During his time at the affiliated high school, he served as the Principal Trumpet of the China Youth Symphony Orchestra and participated in tours to South Korea, Taiwan, Macau, and other places.

In 2019, during his undergraduate studies, he visited Hungary and Spain as a solo trumpet player. That same year, he was appointed as the Associate Principal Trumpet and Second Trumpet at the Thüringen-Gera-Altenburg Opera House in Germany, where he has been working since. He has also performed as a guest trumpet player multiple times at the Weimar National Opera House in Germany and with the Reussisches Chamber Orchestra.

During his undergraduate and master’s studies, he studied under the guidance of renowned trumpet players, including Urban Agnas from Sweden and Uwe Komischke, the Principal Trumpet of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra in Germany.
