Jesdelson Vasquez is a highly accomplished young musician hailing from Brooklyn, New York. He was a member of the Harlem Brass Quintet, which was awarded the Orchestra of St. Luke's Chamber Fellowship in 2022 and won the Lilian-Fuchs Chamber Music Competition twice. He is also a current member of the Times Square Brass Quintet, an ensemble that combines entertainment and education while presenting a diverse range of brass quintet music to audiences.

 

Jesdelson's exceptional talent and dedication to his craft have earned him various awards, including an Orchestral Trumpet Fellowship at both The Aspen Music Festival and Interlochen Arts Camp. Through his work, he aims to expand the narrative of classical musicians in the 21st century, redefining the way society perceives an "ordinary" orchestra. He frequently performs at well-known venues such as The DiMenna Center, Symphony Space, Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall.

 

Jesdelson has obtained his Bachelor's Degree from the Manhattan School of Music, where he received private instruction from Ethan Bensdorf. Currently, Jesdelson will be pursuing his Master's Degree at Rice University's Shepherd School of Music in the Fall, where he will study under the esteemed Barbara Butler. His past teachers include Jonathan Hiem, Stuart Stephenson, and Raymond Mase.
